Members are encouraged to be actively involved in a Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce Committee.
It’s a great way to get connected, make change, and learn about our Chamber and the City. These focused groups are where much of the behind-the-scenes work of the Chamber happens. Committee members get the opportunity to effect real change in the Dodge City business community, deepen relationships with fellow members, and build their referral networks.

chamber ambassadors
As an ambassador with the Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce, individuals are a goodwill representation of the organization and agree to actively participate in Chamber activities and provide support to the Chamber and its members.
Program Overview
The Chamber’s Goodwill Representatives Ambassadors are the face of the Chamber and act as the Chamber’s public relations committee. This program makes sure there is appropriate Chamber representation at member ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, grand openings, and other important events. As ambassadors, individuals perform many important tasks for the Chamber. Most importantly, they help recruit and retain members and assist the Chamber in meeting its membership goals for the year.

Business Advocacy Committee
The business advocacy committee of the Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce provides direction and leadership when advocating at the local, state, and federal levels on behalf of the business community.
About the Committee
The Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce plays a vital role in the business community of being an advocate and leader for business interests in the southwest Kansas region.
It is important for Dodge City to speak with one voice when advocating for issues that impact our community. The Business Advocacy committee of the Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce provides direction and leadership when advocating at the local, state, and federal levels on behalf of the business community.
Priorities
Identify, recruit and select, with approval from the Chamber President and Chamber Board, committee members to serve on the Business Advocacy committee.
Annually establish a Legislative Policies and Positions document to submit to the Chamber Board of Directors for approval. This document should include three local, three State, and three Federal issues/platforms.
Monitor local, state, and federal legislature and advocate on behalf of the Dodge City business community as needed.
Tasks and Events
Attend and advocate at legislative events – Southwest Kansas Night in Topeka, Dodge City Night in Topeka, Southwest Kansas Washington, D.C. delegation trip
Host legislative updates and candidate forums
Draft a Legislative Policies and Positions document each year
Attend City/County/School/College commission and board meetings as needed to advocate for the business community
Conduct quarterly calls with Federal legislators and/or staffers
Establish a better relationship with the Kansas and US Chambers of Commerce

multicultural committee
This committee focuses on developing, promoting, and advocating for multicultural businesses in Dodge City, while encouraging the advancement and economic growth of the multicultural community.
Program Overview
The Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce Multicultural Committee is comprised of individuals who strive to promote growth and participation from the multicultural business community.
Mission
Our mission is to help promote cultural awareness and celebrate the rich diversity within our community by actively promoting the different countries, traditions, and cultures represented here in Dodge. We strive to connect people to the resources they need, whether it's guiding them on who to contact or helping them build meaningful connections within our vibrant community.

young professionals committee
The Young Professionals Committee aims to shape the future of Dodge City with both retaining and recruiting young professionals and by supporting the growth of the young professionals in the local area. Additionally, the committee plays a vital role in educating the community about various events and activities in which young professionals can participate, as well as exploring ways to support local small businesses.
About Young Professionals
The Dodge City Area Young Professionals (YPs) is a chamber initiative which offers innovative ways for young professionals in the Dodge City area to socialize and expand their professional horizons.
This committee is made up of Dodge City business professionals between the ages of 18 and 40 who are ambitious, educated, and ready to work hard, play hard, and make a difference in their community.
Over 40? No need to worry, we’re not carding at the door. If you can find value in our programming and can bring value to the table, our doors are always open to you.
